Northern "All Star" Brass is the brain-child of conductor in residence at Durham University, Ray Farr. The thought behind the formation of the ensemble was to gather around fifty of the best brass musicians in the north of england and in doing so, form a double-sized brass band to perform each year. On June 17th 2007 the ensemble is joined by world renowned euphonium virtuoso, David Thornton, who will be performing with the the NASB as guest soloist and Narrator David Fuller at The Sage Gateshead.
